Note:
The picture is of a similar controller. The actual item varies slightly in appearance.
Model #SL-1 Searchlight controller. Designed for hobbyists and collectors to re-animate 12vdc railroad searchlights such as GRS SA-1, US&S H, H-2, H-5 etc. signals or similar that utilize a bi-directional 12vdc motor / arm-coil to change the lens color in front of a 12vdc lamp.
This controller is powered by an external 12vdc power source (not included)and and has two relay-switched outputs:
#1 Alternating Polarity (Alt. Polarity)
#2 Lamp
The screw terminal outputs are rated for 6 Amps.
There are four steps to the output sequence:
Step #1 Alt. Polarity screw terminals outputs +,- causing the lens arm to swing to GREEN lens, and the Lamp screw terminals outputs a steady 12vdc voltage to power the signal lamp.
Step #2 Alt. Polarity outputs no voltage causing the lens arm to center on the RED lens. The lamp output continues to be steady 12vdc.
Step #3 Alt. Polarity screw terminals outputs -, + causing the lens arm to swing the other direction to the YELLOW lens. The lamp output continues to be steady 12vdc.
Step #4 The lamp output starts to flash creating a flashing Yellow Output (Lens is still swung to YELLOW).
Step #5 "Off" (lamp off, red lens. No power to bulb or lens coil)
Cycle back to Step#1 to repeat sequence.
Each step (including "Off" step) is user programmable from 1 second to 15 minutes. The timing for each step can be unique. Timing is retained even if power is removed.
Board is mounted via the four mounting holes in the corners via stand-off hardware or similar mounting method, with a clearance of at least 1/4" from the bottom of the circuit board to any metal or conductive surface. Mounting hardware is not included.
Board Dimensions: 4-1/8" X 3-1/8" X 1"
Input Voltage: 12vdc
Output Voltage: 12vdc
Max bulb wattage: 40 Watts at 12vdc
